CHILDREN organization is dedicated to providing comprehensive health programs tailored to children and youth, with a strong emphasis on ensuring access to essential health services and promoting healthy habits.

The primary goal of these health programs is to ensure that all children, youth, and their caregivers have access to quality healthcare services when required. This includes primary healthcare, access to medicines, specialized services such as dental care and nutrition support, delivered through practical means such as in-person consultations, telemedicine services, referrals to specialists, or through demand generation initiatives.

In addition to providing access to healthcare services, CHILDREN also focus on raising awareness about healthy behaviours among children, youth, and caregivers. This awareness-building effort aims to educate and empower the community to adopt and maintain healthy lifestyles, thereby promoting overall well-being and reducing health risks.

By integrating access to essential health services with education on healthy behaviours, CHILDREN endeavours to improve the health outcomes of children and youth in the communities of Bawana and Shahabad Dairy, North Delhi. These efforts are crucial in supporting their holistic development and empowering them to lead healthier lives.

This partnership approach enhances the impact of their initiatives and contributes to achieving broader sustainable development goals.

In conclusion, CHILDREN organization's holistic approach to providing healthcare services and promoting healthy behaviors not only improves the health outcomes of children and youth but also contributes significantly to advancing multiple SDGs related to health, education, equality, and reducing inequalities in their communities. These efforts are essential for sustainable development and the well-being of future generations.

Overview of different Health Programs

Medical Reimbursements:

CHILDREN has been offering essential financial support in the form of medical reimbursement for medicines, tests, mental health services, and other referral needs. These services are extended to pre-vetted medical stores, path labs, eye hospitals, and dental clinics based on prescriptions provided by doctors. The organization reimburses the treatment costs for sponsored children and youth directly to identified service providers, contingent upon bills and prescriptions. This support is crucial for cases where similar services are unavailable through government hospitals or clinics.

Over the past decade, CHILDREN has been steadfast in delivering these services to children and youth in the communities of Shahbad Dairy and Bawana JJ Colony. Through our efforts, we have reached approximately 12,000 individuals, ensuring access to essential healthcare services that might otherwise be inaccessible.

Critical care:

CHILDREN provide essential financial support to cover emergency medical needs for children and youth in critical conditions, ensuring access to specialized medical services promptly. The organization defines medical emergencies as instances where a sponsored child exhibits any of the following signs and symptoms:

  • Profuse bleeding
  • Difficulty in breathing
  • Sudden collapse
  • Seizure attack
  • Severe pain
  • Very high fever, potentially leading to seizures

In such urgent situations, CHILDREN cover costs associated with critical care and specialized medical services that may not be immediately available through other means. Over the past decade, we have been dedicated to delivering these vital services to children and youth in the communities of Shahbad Dairy and Bawana JJ Colony. Through our efforts, we have provided critical care support to 120 individuals, ensuring access to essential healthcare services that might otherwise be inaccessible.

Awareness session related to health:

Our sessions are designed to educate caregivers of children and youth about available government schemes and local health services. By enhancing awareness and understanding of health issues, we empower individuals to proactively prioritize their family's well-being. This initiative contributes to healthier, happier, and more resilient communities.

These sessions have been integral to our health programs for many years, reaching approximately 30,000 caregivers over the past decade. The impact has been profound, with caregivers adopting healthier habits and effectively utilizing health services, thereby positively influencing the lives of children and their families.
